This article discusses the effects of school culture on academic achievements of students and helps to better understand what changes should be made to create an effective school culture.  The major goal of the study is to explore whether Exemplary, Recognized and Acceptable schools differ in their school cultures and climates. Researchers used the 10 dimensions of the Organizational Health Inventory to measure the key dimensions. The major findings of this research study show that there is a need for shaping effective school culture to improve academic achievements of students. It has been found that students can achieve higher scores on standardized tests in schools with healthy school climates and well-shaped school cultures. This source is essential for my professional practice as it explains how to use school culture to improve student achievement.

There are many effective activities presented in the book that help school leaders to achieve the established goals in shaping school culture. This source of information can be used in my professional practice as it help to better understand, evaluate, and transform current school culture for ongoing success.

This article explores how to establish a collaborative school culture in order to achieve considerable school improvements. The major goal of this research is to investigate the development of schools that are considered to be inclusive and ready to meet their students’ educational needs. Due attention is paid to the needs of students with disabilities. Researchers have found that it is possible to make positive school change, making considerable improvements in teacher practices and student outcomes. These changes can be achieved through implementation of Comprehensive School Reform. The major aspects of this school reform are the development of a collaborative school culture, the usage of high quality professional development to enhance teacher practices, and development of strong leadership for a wide range of school improvement activities by the school principal and school staff. This source can be useful in my professional practice as it helps to improve teacher practices and leadership in order to create positive school culture.
