Curriculum Map

The curriculum map for the training program includes the following key elements:

Specific skills: learning, organizational, and leadership skills

Assessments: evaluation on the ground of nursing and health care standards, like CCNE and ACEN standards.

Essential questions: what is the mission and vision of the program?; what are learning outcomes the program has to achieve?; what are the ways to achieve learning outcomes identified?; how to achieve positive changes for students?

Big ideas: quality of health care, innovations and their introduction in the health care organization

Accommodations: training courses for nurses and doctors; knowledge sharing.

Materials required: medical equipment; facilities of the health care organization.

Briefly, the key parts of the training program are presented in the following curriculum map (See graph 1):

Specific skills the proposed program focuses on meet actual needs of health care professionals working in the health care organization. Learning skills are essential because today healthcare professionals should come prepared to learn throughout their career in the field of health care. The fast progress of technology and science triggers changes in health care services and health care professionals have to stay away of those changes. Organizational skills are important for the effective performance of health care professionals and their interaction with each other. Leadership skills help health care professionals to introduce changes and take decisions fast.

Assessments used in terms of the proposed program include the evaluation on the ground of nursing and health care standards, like CCNE and ACEN standards. Existing standards help to conduct the adequate assessment of the professional development of health care professionals and their compliance with existing health care standards acceptable nationwide.

Essential questions are what is the mission and vision of the program?; what are learning outcomes the program has to achieve?; what are the ways to achieve learning outcomes identified?; how to achieve positive changes for students? These questions are pivotal for the program.

Big ideas identified in the curriculum map include the quality of health care, innovations and their introduction in the health care organization which are priorities in the professional development of health care professionals today.

Accommodations include training courses for nurses and doctors which should enroll all professionals of the health care organization, who are interested in the development of their professional skills. Knowledge sharing will increase the effectiveness of the proposed program because health care professionals enrolled into the program can share their knowledge and skills with other professionals.

Materials required for the implementation of the program are conventional and include medical equipment. Facilities of the health care organization provide the ground for the training of health care professionals on the ground of the health care organization.
