Summary of my experience for visualization meditation

I practised visualization mediation both for relaxation and concentration of my mind. I used a standard mediation pasture. I set in a comfortable position on the floor. When I closed my eyes, I tried to relax. Then I brought to mind a place of pleasure. It was a sunny beach. I enjoyed the sun, the sea coast and the sand. I visualized the smell of salt water, the blue, cloudless sky, the sounds of waves and seagulls. This location brought the sensation of happiness and satisfaction. I enjoyed that experience very much. I felt that my mind became calm. I spent 12 minutes in this meditation.

Summary of my experience for expanding love meditation

I practised expanding love meditation with the goal of restraining the wanderings of the mind and reducing stress. I set in a comfortable position on the chair. My posture allowed me to relax when I closed my eyes. I relaxed my mind using a slow breathing technique. I felt my heart was beating. I felt self-love and it allowed me to accept my weaknesses. I tried to expand my feelings to my family members.  I succeeded. Then I tried to expand my love to the entire community. I tried to avoid thinking about negative attitudes of others toward me. Finally, I expanded my feeling of love to all people living in this world. I spent 10 minutes in this meditation.

Summary of my experience for mantra meditation

My posture was on the floor. I used the sound OM. I repeated this word many times with my eyes closed. I felt that my body was relaxed. I was satisfied with everything I did. I felt that my mind was not wandering because I was focused on this mantra. I practised this meditation technique for 7 minutes. 

Summary of my experience for breath meditation

My breathing was slow. I sat on the floor with my eyes closed. I have a relaxed body, my arms, legs, head and other parts of my body were relaxed. I tried to follow my breath and I succeeded in it. Due to my concentration on the breath, I could feel how the air comes in me each time I made a breath. I felt how the air left my body through the nose. It was a pleasant process because I could observe my breath, its rhythm and found that I could not control it. I did not use my force. It allows me to enjoy the process of breathing. Although there were some thoughts that had a negative impact on my breathing, I still could breath without control. I practised this meditation for 5 minutes. 

Hence, considering my experience in the above mentioned four forms of meditation, namely visualization, expanding love, mantra and breath meditations, it is possible to choose my favourite meditation. It was mantra mediation. I think that it was best for me because it helped me to reduce anxiety. I combined the sound OM, breath and rhythm. This allowed me to improve the flow of my energy. I could regulate my mind because I did not think about my failures during the process of meditation. Also, I enjoyed this mediation technique because I felt happy after it. I enjoyed a cheerful atmosphere which helped me not only to relax, but also to increase self-awareness. It was easy to do it. OM meditation gave me some strength. I began to generate new ideas and draw plans. It was interesting to reconsider my views on some issues and start thinking in a new way. Thanks to chanting OM, I could deal with my anxiety.
