Discussion of Gender Inequality

Gender equality is certainly only of the most serious social problems in the modern world. Although the position of women was significantly reconsidered, still the problem of gender inequality was not solved. Such integral parts and consequences of this problem, as illegal abortions, financial aspects, workplace discrimination, lack of political and economic rights, domestic violence, limited access to education and so on continue to oppress females. Moreover, all these aspects are interconnected and impact each other, often reinforcing the gender gap and urging the need to find the appropriate solutions for each of them.

Thus it is not possible to treat gender inequality just in the frames of any concrete life sphere, for example political or personal life, instead, gender equality, as the final aim, should be seen as a combination of the variety of meaningful factors.

Research of political and economic factors, of the social issues, caused by gender inequality, gender stereotypes and so on could become the basis for further consideration of the possible efficient ways to manage the problem. Any individual exists on a number of levels, only under the condition that all these levels allow him or her to fulfill the potential, to have equal rights with other members of the society, this individual could be considered equal with others. It is not possible to ignore cultural aspects either, as any society is subdued to certain cultural norms and values, which often also have their impact upon equality of the members of this society. Historical examples of feminist movements, of ways to treat these issues in the past could also be used.

Overall, detailed and multifaceted investigation of each of the life spheres, related to gender inequality, could be of great help for evaluating of the problem and the factors, reinforcing it with the aim of further working out of the effective solutions.
