Professional Growth Plan for Teachers

Objectives and Rationale

These objectives are the most significant in the professional teaching. Indeed, the expansion and implementation of useful data, efficient strategies to boost knowledge and enhance skills, and a wide array of practices seem to be a good plan. Every teacher based on self-reflection and aspirations should have a good command of specific pedagogical and psychological knowledge, so he/she can manage the group of students and provide helpful and essential materials.

For instance, many teachers like to give theory and demand to learn a hundred of pages for the upcoming lesson. However, I reckon that physical experiences and practices are much more of importance. So, students can have different situations every class and imagine things to follow and do in this particular case of the event.

Although, the theory is necessary for the basic background of knowledge, sharing own experience in various spheres and giving all essential tools and information to students is also of value. Therefore, these objectives have a well-meaning and well-thought-out, because they are bound to provide a good grasp of skills and enhance student’s mind and professionalism in the future.

This plan will assist students in gaining strength points than weak ones since the growth plan is aimed at teaching-entertaining method. It implies that every class will consist of various case studies and hypothetical situations so that students can apply their necessary skills to practice. Moreover, ethical relationship between a teacher and students are essential, so I will try to be not only as a “strict professor” but also as a peer.

Achievement of objectives and Timeline

  Learning activity to meet each objective     Timeline
1st and 3rd objectives are responsible for theory and various data. It is necessary to provide multiple statistics, studies, developments, new pedagogical experiences and techniques to give insight into basics and educational areas. So, every class will consist of presentations, statistics about particular topics, and theoretical exercises.                       September-December
2nd and 4th goals are in charge of practice, so every student will not cram theoretical questions and dedicate their skills and knowledge to resolve various scenarios and case studies to gain experience and boost their professionalism in the future.                           January-April
To observe all students’ competency and activity, the plan will consist of final assignment which every student should complete. It will include both of theory and practice. Every student will have an individual scenario and theoretical questions to evaluate them and the efficiency of the growth plan.                               April-June

Teacher Performance Expectations

Expectations are of importance, and every teacher hopes to get desired outcomes. It would prove that professional growth plan is efficient and full of usefulness. In fact, as a teacher, I hope and expect to provide this plan and eliminate boring classes full of tests and biography with potential real-life events and scenarios. Therefore, I look forward to completing the program with flying colors.
