Getting Fast Food is Easy to Do Essay

The process of ordering, eating and cleaning up after a meal in a fast-food restaurant is really “the growing practice of shifting the burden of labor to the consumer”(Fish 1). First of all, consumers should order their food. There is usually a crowd in the fast-food restaurant; therefore, it is necessary to be ready to beat the crowd. A waitress will not give a consumer a menu to read. Consumers should find a menu on the wall and read it standing in line.  Consumers have to get in line in order to get their food, but they need not stand in line for hours – only 5-10 minutes…In addition, food orders are often mixed up. Consumers should be very attentive while ordering and getting their orders. The process of eating is pleasant. Food is well-packed to be eaten in the restaurant. Food is served in special plastic containers with plastic folks to eat fast food. The most important thing is that fast food is always fresh. Besides, consumers may eat French-fried potatoes with hands. Consumers who have fast food in a fast-food restaurant should clean up after a meal. For fast-food consumers, it is a rule to clean up for the restaurant. In most cases, they give dirty looks to those consumers who violate these rules. Generally speaking, fast-food consumers should deposit paper ware into the special garbage bins that can be found in the restaurant hall. In addition, they have to neatly stack their fast food plastic trays, as a rule, one on top of another. Thus, eating out, especially in a fast-food restaurant is an easy thing to do, but it requires much patience.
