In “Global Knowledge Management at Danone”, the major purpose of the Networking Attitude strategy is to strengthen the company’s talent management in order to deal with competitors in the industry. The key goals of the strategy include first, improvement of revenues and second, reduction of costs. The key objectives of the strategy include first, establishment and application of sharing culture in the workplace, second, strengthening of knowledge usage, and third, enhancement of networking attitudes among employees. The Networking Attitude strategy is considered to be an effective OD intervention work which guarantees positive results of the functioning of the entire system, as well as facilitates implementation of best practices.
Question 2
In “Global Knowledge Management at Danone”, the implementation of the Networking Attitudes strategy required employee participation in different activities to practice knowledge sharing through collaboration and strengthen interpersonal relations at all levels. The communication of the strategy was initiated by HR managers through face-to-face approaches. The support and acceptance for the Networking Attitude strategy by relevant stakeholders (employees, suppliers and customers) allowed making improvements in internal communication, employee motivation, job satisfaction, performance and productivity, modernization and collaboration. The challenges that Danone had to address as the Networking Attitudes strategy expanded both inside and outside the organization include substantial increase of workload, language and cultural problems which had negative impact on external communication, risks of information loss, overburden of employees’ duties and responsibilities, and risks of human errors caused by difficult assignments.
Question 3
In “Global Knowledge Management at Danone”, the Networking Attitude strategy benefited the workforce ensuring their adjustment to changes in the organizational structure and culture. The workforce learned how to improve teamwork, share know-hows and personal experience, and apply peer-to-peer methods. Due to the strategy extension the entire system at Danone was improved. Danone was involved in product development to address competition. The key performance indicators that contributed to the effectiveness of the strategy include statement of direction, employee performance measurement, financial data assessment, continuous improvement planning, strategic planning, risk management planning.
