Types of Athletes Essay

Everybody knows that sport requires much time and effort to win competitions. Different people engaged in sport activities have different types of personality and temperament, as well as  physical health and endurance (Lyle & Cushion 74).Some athletes need much time and effort to develop certain skills in sport activities, while others need less time and effort to become champions. Due to observation of athletes, it is possible to classify them into three groups. So, there are three types of athletes: unskilled, skilled, and talented athletes, who differ from one another because of different physical abilities, personal skills, and motivation to win sport competitions.

The first type of athletes includes unskilled people engaged in sports only due to their motivation and personal interest, but not due to their physical abilities. These people have no potential to win competitions because they need much training to succeed in their sport activity.

The second type of athletes includes skilled people with good physical abilities and personal skills. These athletes are talented people, but they are not gifted because they have to work hard to achieve positive results in sports. They often make technical errors and need much time for recovery.

The third type of athletes includes talented people with excellent skills, abilities, and high  motivation. They can achieve positive results in little time. These athletes can gain strength and endurance quicker than other athletes due to their good mobility. They can easily win sport  competitions and become champions.

Thus, it is necessary to conclude that there are three different types of athletes who demonstrate their physical abilities, skills and motivation in  different ways. Undoubtedly, all three types of athletes, namely unskilled, skilled, and talented athletes, have their right to participate in sport competitions and hit the championships. It depends on training opportunities and personal skills, hard work and endurance, if an athlete can win competitions.
