What is Employee Turnover Discussion

Part A.

Employee turnover is a kind of change, which is able to have significant impact upon any business. Taking this into consideration, it is evident that most employers consider the motives of departing workers thoroughly. One of the most important aspects for retention of employees is their financial reward. Even if an individual likes his job, his position, he is will not continue working in case he feels that his salary is too low and he is able to receive a good offer somewhere else. In some companies employees are also getting various benefits or health assistance programs for example. Lack of financial support is one of the strongest factors, which influences employees’ turnover. Employee engagement is another important aspect, which needs to be considered. Any worker is interested in meeting challenges in his work, in the possibility to take even minor decisions, in sharing ideas and finding solutions together with his colleagues. Employees’ engagement should be a part of the company’s structure, if it is important for the company to keep the employees. Various team building activities are often used in the companies in order to support the employee engagement. Also open-door policy is a good approach for making the workers more engaged and satisfied with the work they are doing. Important is to receive a feedback, workers are stimulated and motivated in case they receive timely feedbacks from their leaders and managers. A lot depends also upon the leaders of the company, as a poor boss is able to make his workers also miserable. It is important for the top managers to evaluate the work of managers along with the work of employees.
